Beau Wood once said, “Your Jack’s sets feel like Saturday morning cartoons—if you had a fourth beer in hand and an uncounted cigarette burning nearby.” Kelsi Schacht rolls her eyes every time she catches him fishing for her once-genuine compliment: “You’re my favorite songwriter.” His 19-year-old brother, a college shortstop, keeps it simple: “Shit’s hard, dog.”  Men have cried, and he feels warm about that. The songs stay lyrically driven—with themes of simplicity, patience, and compassion—and a fingerpicked dreadnought to keep them moving. Think Winnie the Pooh with elsewhere eyes and spiked honey.

Just Clark is a singer-songwriter reviving the roots of American-made music. Digging into a woody sound that echoes through the hollers, Clark's music embodies a timeless resonance that harks back to the cherished sounds of classic Americana folk. From poet to picker, the native Texan conjures a sound as bright as the Lonestar herself.
