Dark Sparkler aka Kyle Swisher grew up with music as his passion. He loved playing guitar and writing songs in bands, but the one thing about music he obsessed over the most was tone. Tone is what gives music context. It can exhilarate, gut, or lull without changing a note. So once he found Buchla modular instruments, he fell in love. With the instrument’s infinite timbral variety, and the tactile ability to control them, he was able to write music with tone as the main character. From etherial and light to harsh and distorted, Dark Sparkler’s live performances are a mesmerizing journey through timbre and texture. Dark Sparkler's most recent album, Are You Working With Me, Or Against Me? is available on Behind The Sky Music.Leandrul is another word for Oleander, a poisonous shrub that grows commonly all over southern California, where Crosby Morgan (aka Leandrul) grew up. Written, recorded, produced, and performed solely on her own, Morgan's music is colorful and bouncy, energetic and cathartic. Leandrul's mesmerizing and emotive live performances combine layered vocal loops, drum machines, and guitars. Her latest single, "Interim (Choir Version)" was released April 21, 2022.
Occult A/V is the solo electronic project of David Kumler, a musician, producer, multimedia artist, and academic currently based in Seattle. Kumler is best known for his work as half of the postpunk/darkwave outfit Foxxxy Mulder, and has also released a handful of garage/punk tracks under the moniker Cosmic Bummer. Inspired by artists ranging from Pye Corner Audio and Burial to J Dilla and Madlib—as well as Carl Sagan’s astrophysics documentaries, the filmography of Adam Curtis, and the writings of Mark Fisher—the music of Occult A/V is equal parts cosmic and hauntological: It explores the relationships between human and the infinite, as if to remind us that human history is nothing more—and our lives nothing less—than reverberations of the big bang. Occult A/V's multisensory live performances combine electronic instrumentation with live audio-reactive visuals. Occult A/V's most recent EP, Ghost Pulse, was released in May 2022
Enereph combines textural percussion and mystical ambience into sound worlds meant to calm and provide a sense of openness and clarity to listeners. She utilizes the Octatrack MKI sampler and a modular synthesizer with a small collection of FX pedals to achieve her sound. Her palette is genre-fluid and includes applications in dance music, ambient soundscapes, and alt pop. Her most recent EP, Spiral is the Way, was released in October 2022.
