Seattle-based singer, songwriter and guitarist Sheryl Wiser has crafted a soulful and uniquely compelling style of Americana, blues, roots rock and jazz. With her signature Parker Fly guitar, she plyas a dynamic range of rhythmic textures that are sinewy and soothing, yet edgy - blending beautifully with a vibrant voice that conveys emotion with grit and grace, showing the influences of both her early years listening to her family’s big band, jazz and swing 78’s and into her maturity as a vocalist. A veteran of the popular ’90s alt-country/Americana band Somebody’s Daughter, she has become a well regarded solo artist and songwriter, combining keen observations with an emotional richness and depth. She has performed in legendary venues like The Bitter End and Sin-é in New York City and the iconic Mercury Cafe in Denver, CO. She also appeared as an opening act for touring artists including Tori Amos, Luka Bloom, Crash Test Dummies, Peter Himmelman, Dan Fogelberg, Jill Sobule and Patty Larkin. www.sherylwiser.com
