Quilts are essentially Luke Webster and Kenaniah Bystrom who discovered their own kismet connection over a bond of having the same quilted blankets from their youth. On the heels of their Alien Wilderness EP that arrived in late 2019, the onset of the 2020 quarantine found the two developing the demos and sketches for their first full-length "Rocky's Ranch" on the Olympic Peninsula at Luke’s Aunt Rocky’s home where they honed in on a visceral sound full of earnest emotion and vulnerable heart. Their latest single, Entitled Peaches, dives into themes of systemic inequality, channeling raw emotion into a deep, urgent, and deeply personal sound. Primarily known as a bassist for groups like Grammy-nominated band Alvvays and Seattle surfers La Luz, Abbey Blackwell (Seattle) is focusing her energies on writing for solo guitar and voice. Under her name, she has released two full length albums and an EP as a solo artist in addition to her avant-garde instrumental trio Rae.
