At about 47 degrees latitude, Seattle has one of the most extreme dark seasons in the continental United States. Welcome in the first day of winter and celebrate the longest night, marking the beginning of the days growing longer with an evening of music and winter festivities featuring False Hemlock with Byung, Connor Cash Colbert, Elena Denny, K Van Petten, Nat Meek, and Roman Rasmussen. The evening will be warmed with music from Rob Moura or Armour, Britt Amborn of Sister Swimmer, Alie Byland of Byland, and poetry by Emily J Mundy.
Tarot deck creator and artist Callie Little will be providing complimentary tarot readings from 6pm to 7pm. Bring a special object for our communal altar and something you'd like to let go of, which we'll write down and burn in our yule log ceremony. Dress in your best witchy winter attire to set the mood. The evening will commence with a takeaway carol under Pike Place Market.

False Hemlock is a newly seeded band in Seattle and its greenspaces on stolen Coast Salish land, specifically the ancestral land of the Duwamish, Suquamish, Stillaguamish, and Muckleshoot People. Their music exists in-between traditional folk storytelling and modern electronic soundscapes, resulting in a cinematic indie folk rock experience that intertwines folk storytelling, three part harmonies, cinematic strings, and electronic soundscapes. False Hemlock grows its roots from K Van Petten (vocals/guitar), Connor Cash Colbert (vocals/banjo), Nat Meek (vocals/violin), BJ ‘Byung’ Choe (lead guitar/pedal steel), Elena Denny (cello), and Roman Rasmussen (drums).
